What’s in a Word?


Magis is a Latin word and means “more”.  It was often used by Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, to express the quality of our relationship with reality and the people around us. To achieve magis in one’s own life, one must start with the desire for magis.

To put magis into practice is a process of a lifetime. That’s why we call MAGIS also a pilgrimage, the beginning of an internal journey that will bring the pilgrim to new discoveries and unexpected vistas.
